Full board services are now being offered in our BRAND NEW FACILITY! This beautiful new barn offers 12×12 luxury matted box stalls with open view stall fronts, and soon every stall will have attached paddocks. Each stall in the barn is outfitted with a SoftStall Stall Mattress for added comfort year round. An indoor wash stall can be utilized year round, with access to hot and cold water! We currently offer multiple temperature controlled tack rooms, and have plans of expanding already. One of the tack rooms also serves as a viewing room to the well lit and extremely well groomed indoor arena. One of our large and scenic outdoor arenas is just a short walk away, while another is a good hike uphill to access, for added exercise and a scenic view along the way. All horses on the farm enjoy ample turnouts, in small or large groups, or individually, pending each animals needs.
Nutrition is taken very seriously here at BVS, with our Owner being a certified Equine Nutritionist. Each and every horse is provided constant clean, full, fresh water and salt blocks in every stall. We will evaluate your horse based on its age, breed, condition, workload, and other factors to determine its ideal feeding program. We feed a variety of quality feeds here including (but not limited to) Cavalor, Crypto Aero, Poulin, and Nutrena, and Triple Crown. We also utilize pelleted hays and shredded beet pulp to provide the most natural, balanced diet possible. Quality, tested, local hay is provided free choice for most horses, with others being fed specified amounts over multiple feedings per day. Horses enjoy ALWAYS having hay in front of them at BVS. Supplements are fed daily and can/will be recommended to owners based on each animals needs.
Here at Bella Vista we believe in keeping a horse’s life as close to natural as we can offer. Horses at BVS enjoy daily turnout, for typically at least 12 hours per day. Having paddocks attached to every stall, horses here get the choice of being in or out all days in all weather. In rare cases of severe storms we will close up the barn, but horses here are almost always turned out as much as they’d like to be. We have an excellent program for comfortably and safely transitioning horses with a history of being stall bound into enjoying having full turnout.
We offer a variety of programs outside of our boarding services for yours and your horses comfort and education, including training and exercise programs, rehabilitation programs, body work sessions, and more. Our staff is educated and certified in a variety of body work services in order to keep our horses healthy and receiving every advantage possible, including massage therapy, kinesiology taping, red-light low-level laser therapy, and more.
